Sunda Resort

The rooms at Sunda Resort measure between 35 and 37 m², and their views face the garden, the pool or the river, depending on the room. Five rooms sleep up to three guests, two sleep up to five and one sleeps up to two, and several have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer.

Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, while others have a TV with satellite and cable channels and a telephone. A choice of bed set-ups is offered in some rooms, and the in-room equipment changes from room to room, with a coffee and tea maker and free bottled water in some of them.

Sunda Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a garden, and the resort is family and child friendly. A massage service is also available, along with a convenience store on the premises.

Parking is free on site, and bicycle parking is also provided. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and internet services and WiFi in public areas are offered as well.

The buffet breakfast and halal breakfast are offered, and the resort has restaurants on site with room service and food delivery. Tours and car hire can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, a concierge, luggage storage and a 24-hour front desk.

Sunda Resort is in Ao Nang, a beach town on the coast of Krabi province in southern Thailand, where a strip of restaurants, tour offices and shops runs between the sand and the limestone cliffs. It is a lively part of the coast, drawing visitors who want the sea, the cliffs and the evening markets close at hand. From the resort, the beach road makes it easy to walk between the sand, the restaurants and the evening stalls, and the limestone cliffs stay in view along much of the strip.

Noppharathara Beach is 500 m from the resort, and the Ao Nang Night Market is 900 m away, with street-food stalls and massage shops along the road in the evening. Railay, 4.4 km away, is reached by longtail boat from the Ao Nang shore, and its beaches are framed by limestone cliffs.

A full day can start with a longtail boat trip to Phra Nang Cave and Railay, or join a boat trip to the Hong Islands, a group of lagoon islands. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 15.1 km away, is a hilltop temple climbed by a long flight of stairs. Boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough, which is more common in the wetter months.
