Every room at STPhostel has air conditioning, and the rooms are dormitory rooms with bunk beds, each sleeping one guest.

The female dormitory and the mixed dormitory both have blackout curtains, reading lights, linens and a socket near the bed, and guests share a bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

STPhostel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms, along with internet services and Wi-Fi in the public areas. Air conditioning covers the public areas as well as the rooms, and the shared lounge has a TV area where guests gather. Private check-in and check-out are offered.

Inside the rooms you will find blackout curtains, reading lights, linens, a hair dryer, a fan, a locker, a clothes rack and a safety or security feature, plus a socket near each bed. Ground-floor rooms are available, and the shared bathroom has a shower and toiletries.

STPhostel is in Patong, the busiest resort town on Phuket's west coast, a district of beaches, bars, restaurants and shops that stays lively late into the evening. The area appeals to travellers who want the beach, the markets and the nightlife close at hand, rather than the quieter bays of the island's south. Street-food stalls and massage shops line many of the streets.

Patong Beach is 450 m away, and Bangla Road, the street of bars and clubs, is 400 m from the hostel. Jungceylon Shopping Center, 300 m away, has shops and eateries, and the Banzaan Fresh Market opens as a night market in the evening. Kalim Beach, a quieter stretch of sand, is 2.3 km away. Getting to the further beaches and temples usually means a taxi or hired car, as they are spread across the island.

A typical day could start with the sand at Patong Beach, then an afternoon at Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.4 km away and one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples, and end with dinner and a walk through the Banzaan night market. The Phuket FantaSea cultural show is another evening option, and Kalim Beach suits a quieter afternoon on the sand.
