Ko Phi Phi has no airport, so most arrivals reach the island by boat from the mainland at Krabi or Phuket. The island is small enough that most of its main sights are a short distance from the hostel.

Around the hostel, the Phi Phi Market is close by, and the Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint is 800 m away, a lookout over the surrounding bays. Ton Sai Beach is 700 m away, and Ton Sai Bay, 400 m off, is the bay where many of the island's boat trips depart. The bars and restaurants of Ton Sai village cluster near the pier, so evenings are spent close to the water.

A good first day could start with the walk to the viewpoint, followed by a swim at Ton Sai Beach and an afternoon by longtail boat to Ao Maya, the bay on neighbouring Phi Phi Leh made famous by the film The Beach, 6.8 km away. Boat trips depend on the sea, and the swell can make crossings rougher in the rainy season.
