Starlight Resort

The bungalows and rooms at Starlight Resort sleep between two and four guests and come with one double bed, two double beds or two single beds, depending on the room. Several open onto the resort's garden, one has a partial sea view and another has a pool view.

Rooms can include a desk, a refrigerator, satellite or cable channels, a balcony or terrace and a shower. Some have air conditioning and others a fan, so the choice of room decides how you stay cool. The bungalow sizes are given for the rooms that list them, and a room with a balcony gives you outdoor space to sit in the shade of the trees.

Starlight Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a garden, and a beachfront setting, with the sand close to the bungalows. Both pools sit within the resort's grounds, and the garden runs through the same area.

For getting around, the resort offers a shuttle service, car hire and a taxi service, and an airport transfer is also available. Tours can be arranged, and water sports (non-motorised) are available. Car hire is one of the options for exploring the island, alongside the taxi service.

Day-to-day services include daily housekeeping, laundry service and dry cleaning, currency exchange, cash withdrawal, safety deposit boxes, a convenience store, a concierge and ticket services.

Thong Nai Pan Yai is a bay on Ko Pha-ngan with a sandy beach and a small hamlet, Baan Thong Nai Pan, set back from the shore. The resort is in this village area, and the sand is 50 m away, so the beach is a very short walk from the bungalows.

The nearest sights are inland and along the coast. Wat Thong Nai Pan, a Buddhist temple, is 600 m away, and the Khao Lat Mai Kaeo peak is 1.1 km away. Than Sadet waterfall is 2.6 km away, and Ao Chaloklum Bay is 6.8 km away. Ko Pha-ngan has no airport, so the last part of the journey is by boat from Koh Samui to the pier, followed by a taxi, which is available at an extra charge.

A good day could start with the walk to Wat Thong Nai Pan and the Khao Lat Mai Kaeo peak, then continue to the waterfall before returning to the beach at Thong Nai Pan Yai. The bay is a simple base for a quieter stay on the island, with the beach and the nearby temple close at hand. The village lanes lead from the bungalows to the temple and along the bay.
