Spice & Sea Resort

Every room at Spice & Sea Resort measures 22 m². Rooms can have air conditioning, a bathtub, a mini bar, a refrigerator, blackout curtains, a closet, an electric kettle and a balcony or terrace, along with an in-room safe box and ironing facilities.

Some rooms have a television with satellite and cable channels, and some bathrooms are supplied with a hair dryer, toiletries and towels. A baby cot is available on request, and there is a laptop workspace in the resort.

The resort's facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and sauna, massage and a salon, along with a library, a garden and a terrace. Tours are offered, and car hire, a shuttle service, a taxi service and an airport transfer are available too.

The front desk is open 24 hours and handles luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, currency exchange and express check-in and check-out. Laundry, dry cleaning, ironing and daily housekeeping are offered, and there is a convenience store on site.

Free parking is available on site, with bicycle parking, and free Wi-Fi is offered in all rooms and in public areas. A laptop workspace is available, and free wired internet is offered too.

Kata is a beach district on Phuket's Andaman coast, centred on a wide bay of sand. Behind the beach, a road lined with cafés, small shops and restaurants gives the area a relaxed, everyday feel, and Spice & Sea Resort sits a few hundred metres from the sand. The nearby Kata Open Market is 650 m away, so everyday errands and a quick meal are close at hand.

Kata Beach is the closest stretch of sand, with Kata Noi Beach lying beside it as a smaller beach. Karon Beach, the next bay along, is a longer stretch of sand. The Big Buddha, a large Buddha statue on a hilltop, is 1.6 km from the resort, and Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's most important temples, is 5 km away. Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with a show, lies 15.3 km off. Taxi, car hire and shuttle services are available, and a minibus station is 350 m away.

A good day could start on Kata Beach, move on to the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, and end at Kata View Point to look out over the bay. Kata Noi Beach is close enough for a second swim later in the day.
