Space Ben Guest House @ Muangkao

The Standard Twin Room and the Standard Double Room are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, towels and a hair dryer, as well as a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator.

Both standard rooms sleep up to three guests, and they measure 11 m² and 15 m² respectively. The room assigned when you arrive also sleeps up to three guests.

The guesthouse has a shared lounge and TV area, and guests can leave bags in luggage storage. Dry cleaning is also offered, and the languages spoken at the guesthouse include English and Thai.

Free parking is available on site, and valet parking is also offered. Free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, and Wi-Fi is also available in the public areas.

Sukhothai was the first capital of the Thai kingdom, and its temple ruins, chedi and stone Buddha images are spread across a large historical park that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Space Ben Guest House @ Muangkao sits in Mueang Kao, where the ancient monuments are close at hand and form part of the everyday scenery.

Several of the main sites are within a short distance of the guesthouse. Ramkhamhaeng National Museum is 50 m away and displays artefacts from the Sukhothai period, while Wat Maha That, 400 m away, is known for the Buddha head set among tree roots. Wat Sri Sawai, 650 m away, has three Khmer-style prangs, and Wat Sa Si lies a little further on among the ruins. Muang Kao Market, 150 m from the property, gives a local side to the area, and the night market is 550 m away.

A good way to see the area is to spend a day among the ruins, starting at the museum and walking between the temples, then ending the evening at the night market. The Loy Krathong festival in Sukhothai, which is held in the historical park, fills the ruins with lights and candles and gives the site a different atmosphere from the usual daytime visit.
