SocialTel Samui

Rooms at SocialTel Samui include standard queen and twin rooms, superior king rooms, a deluxe king room with a balcony and a quad with four bunk beds. Rooms can have air conditioning, a closet, a safe box, linens, ironing facilities and a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

Some rooms have a pool view and a separate shower and bathtub, and rooms can also include a flat-screen TV, satellite or cable channels, a telephone and streaming service like Netflix. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Chaweng is one of the busiest beach areas on Koh Samui, and the streets around SocialTel Samui are lined with restaurants, bars and shops. The area stays lively into the evening, and the hotel's own bar and nightclub add to that atmosphere, so it is a base for travellers who want the nightlife as well as the sand.

Chaweng Yai Beach is 400 m from the hotel, and the walking street and the night market are close by. Central Festival Samui, the large shopping centre, is 300 m away, while Pagoda Khao Hua Jook, a Buddhist pagoda, is 900 m away. Nora Beach is another stretch of sand further along the coast, and Samui Airport is 2.1 km from the property, so flying in means no ferry crossing. Big Buddha, the large seated statue of the Buddha, is 4.6 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Chaweng Yai Beach, continue with a visit to the Big Buddha or the Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut, and end at the night market, where food stalls set up in the evening. Each of them is a short trip from the hotel, and the evening can be spent on the walking street before returning to the hotel.
