Sleep Sheep Phuket Hostel

The rooms at Sleep Sheep Phuket Hostel range from dormitory beds in 4-bed and 8-bed mixed dormitories and a capsule with a single bed, to a Family Room for up to four guests and private rooms with a bunk bed or a queen bed. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a hair dryer, towels, toiletries and slippers, and some have a city view and blackout curtains.

The hostel has a shared lounge and TV area, and air conditioning is in the public areas. There is 24-hour security on site, and daily housekeeping is provided along with luggage storage and lockers. Staff speak English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Thai, and the hostel also has a family room.

For getting around, tours, car hire, bicycle rental and a taxi service can be arranged, and ticket services are also available. Shops, a convenience store, a coffee shop and a vending machine are on site as well.

Internet services are available, and WiFi covers the public areas, so guests can get online in the shared spaces as well as in their rooms.

Talang Road runs through Phuket Town, the island's capital, where the old quarter has Sino-Portuguese shophouses and Chinese shrines alongside Buddhist temples. Many of its streets are best explored on foot, with markets and local eateries close together.The Phuket Town Local Bus Station is 400 m away, a practical starting point for trips around the town.

Phuket Old Town is 350 m from the hostel, and its colourful Sino-Portuguese buildings are the main reason to walk here. The Lard Yai Sunday Night Market is also 350 m away, a night market for food and local goods, and the Peranakan Museum, which shows Peranakan culture and history, is nearby. Wat Mongkol Nimit, a Buddhist pagoda, is a short walk away from the hostel and the market, so the old town can be explored in a single loop on foot.

A full day could start with a walk through the old town, then a visit to the Big Buddha, 10.9 km away, a large seated statue on Nakkerd Hills. Patong Beach, 10.7 km away, is one of the island's busiest beaches, with restaurants and nightlife along its strip, and the old town's night market is an easy way to end the day.
