Shiralea Resort

Accommodation at Shiralea Resort runs from shared dormitory beds to bungalows, with air-conditioned rooms and rooms with a fan. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, several rooms have a garden view, and two bungalows have a balcony or terrace. Some rooms are non-smoking, and the resort has a designated smoking area.

Floor areas run from 21 to 45 m², and the beds range from bunk beds in the dormitories to single, double, queen, king and super king beds in the private rooms. Haad Yao is a coastal area of Ko Pha-ngan, an island in the Gulf of Thailand with beaches set in small bays and hills rising behind them. Shiralea Resort sits in this part of the island, where a series of beaches runs along the coast and the green hills give the shoreline a quieter backdrop. It suits guests who want a beach stay with access to the rest of the island.

Long Beach is 200 m from the resort, and Salad Beach is 600 m away. The Wang Sai waterfall is 2.1 km away, and the Food Market, a useful place for local food, is also nearby. Wat Sri Thanu, a Buddhist pagoda, is 2.5 km away, and Ao Chaloklum Bay is another bay on the island. Ko Pha-ngan has no airport of its own; the nearest is Samui Airport, 27.7 km away on Ko Samui, and the last part of the journey is by boat.

A good day could start on Long Beach or Salad Beach, followed by a visit to Wat Sri Thanu in the afternoon and a trip to the Wang Sai waterfall for a change of scene. The resort offers snorkelling and diving for those who want to spend more time on the water, and for a slower day the pools, the spa and the garden fill the time without leaving the grounds.
