Further afield, Big Buddha Phuket, the large statue of Buddha on a hilltop, is 8.6 km away, and Wat Chalong, one of the island's best-known temples, is reachable by road. Karon and Kata, two other long sandy beaches, can be reached by road. For an evening out, Phuket FantaSea, the large cultural show and theme park, is also a well-known choice. Phuket International Airport is 23 km away.

Patong Beach can be reached on foot, so a full day can start on the sand, continue to Big Buddha in the hills and end on Bangla Road in the evening. For a quieter stretch of sand, Karon or Kata make a good alternative, and the Banzaan Fresh Market, a local food market, is also near the property.
