Sea World Guesthouse offers rooms for two or three guests, from double and twin rooms to a triple room with three double beds. Sea World Guesthouse sits 150 m from Ao Nang Beach, so the sand is only a short walk away. Sea kayak and diving operators are based along the bay, and the beach is close enough for an easy evening stroll back from town.

Longtail boats leave from the pier for the islands and beaches across the bay. Railay Beach, a limestone-cliff beach 2.5 km away, is reached by boat, and Phra Nang Cave, a beach inside a limestone cave, is reached by the same boats. Poda Island and Tup Island are common day trips with sandy shores. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is in the hills near Krabi town, with a long staircase up to its Buddha, and the Hong Islands are a longer boat trip.

A day could start on Ao Nang Beach, continue with a boat trip to Railay, and end at the Ao Nang Night Market, 1.1 km away, where food stalls and souvenir sellers fill the streets in the evening. Krabi International Airport is 18.9 km away on the mainland, so the first and last hours of a trip are by road.
