Sairee Beach is the main beach of Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, and the strip of dive shops, guesthouses and cafés along the sand gives the village a lively but easygoing feel. Ko Tao is best known for diving and snorkelling, and Sairee draws travellers who want to be close to the water rather than in a quiet corner of the island. Most of the village sits along the beach road, so the sea is never far away.

The beach is about 50 m from the property, and two dive centres, Scuba Junction and Ban's Diving Resort, are each around 250 m away. Koh Nang Yuan, a small islet with snorkelling around its shores, lies about 2.8 km off, and the Sairee Viewpoint looks over Sairee Beach and Koh Nang Yuan.

A good first day could begin with the walk to the Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument, 1.5 km away, followed by a swim or a dive from the sand at Sairee. Ko Tao has no airport, so most visitors arrive by boat, and many get around the island by scooter. Ao Tanote, a quiet bay for snorkelling, is a longer trip from the village and is worth the effort for a quieter day in the water.
