Jungceylon Shopping Center is 450 m away, with shops and restaurants close to it. Sights further afield include Big Buddha Phuket, 7.4 km away, on a hill with views over the island, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's most revered temples. Phuket International Airport is 24.5 km away, so the trip from the airport is by road, and getting to the temples and Big Buddha means taking a taxi or hired transport.

A day could start on Patong Beach, then continue to Kalim Beach or Freedom Beach on the coast, before returning to Bangla Road in the evening. Phuket FantaSea, a theme park with a dinner show, is also an evening option for a night out in Patong, with the beach and Bangla Road close by.
