Chalong Pier, 2.8 km from the property, is a ferry terminal for boat trips to the islands, and Wat Chalong, one of the most revered temples on Phuket, is 4.8 km away. Visitors come to see the statue up close from the hilltop it stands on.

A car or scooter makes these sights easier to reach from Rawai, where the streets are quieter than in the resort towns. A good day could start at the Big Buddha, continue with a swim at Kata Beach in the afternoon and end with dinner back in Rawai.
