Rooms at Sapaan Pla Residence can have air conditioning, a fan, a desk, a seating area with a sofa and a refrigerator, and a balcony or terrace can be part of the room. Wat Chalong, also called Chaithararam Temple, is one of the most revered temples on the island and lies 2.8 km from the guesthouse. The Big Buddha stands on a hill 2.9 km away, a large white statue that can be seen from a distance. Chalong Pier, 1.4 km away, is the departure point for boats to nearby islands, and Phuket International Airport is 32.3 km from the property.

A good day can start at Wat Chalong and continue to the Big Buddha on its hill, both within a few kilometres of the guesthouse. The pier is the place to ask about boats to the islands, and departures can be affected by rough seas, which are more common in the rainy season. The pier and the temple are close enough to combine in one trip, and the rest of the island is reached by road from the guesthouse.
