Samui Poshtel

Rooms at Samui Poshtel sleep up to three guests, and several have a king bed. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, a refrigerator and a mini bar, and some have a balcony or terrace. One room looks out over the garden, and other rooms can have a mirror, a shower, toiletries and linens.

Extra beds depend on the room, and an extra bed carries an additional charge. Children aged 0 to 6 can stay for free if they use the existing bedding. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Restaurants and room service are offered at Samui Poshtel, and breakfast is available in Asian and continental styles, with breakfast in the room also possible. A garden and a salon are on site, and a convenience store and cash withdrawal are available too.

Samui Poshtel is in the Chaweng area of Koh Samui, one of the island's largest beach areas, with a long sandy beach, a walking street and a lively evening scene close by. Life in the area centres on the beach road, with street-food stalls and massage shops along the way.

The nearest beach is Chaweng Noi, a smaller stretch of sand 850 m from the hostel, and the larger Chaweng Yai Beach is also nearby. Samui Airport is 4 km away, and the property offers an airport transfer, so arriving by air is simple. Fisherman's Village, a quarter of shops, cafés and restaurants, is 5.3 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha on a hillside, is 6.3 km away.

A day could start on the sand at Chaweng Noi, continue to Fisherman's Village for lunch, and end with a stroll along the walking street in the evening. Wat Plai Laem, known for its large Guanyin statue with eighteen arms, is further afield, and Na Muang Waterfall, 8.2 km away in the island's hills, offers a change of scene from the beaches. Those with more time can also add Lamai Beach, the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks and Maenam Beach to a day out.
