Samui Island Resort

Accommodation at Samui Island Resort includes suites, bungalow rooms and rooms with a view of the sea, the beach or the garden. Floor areas run from 30 to 52 m², and some rooms have a whirlpool bathtub. Several rooms have air conditioning, a TV with satellite and cable channels and free WiFi.

Apart from the Superior Bungalow Room, which offers a choice of bed set-ups, the rooms have a double or king bed. The Suite Whirlpool Bathtub and the Junior Suite with Spa Bath both have a whirlpool bathtub, and the Presidential Suite offers 52 m² for up to two guests.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a spa with a sauna and massage, and a private beach. Dining is available at the restaurant, the coffee shop and the poolside bar, and room service is offered, with Asian, buffet and continental breakfast on the list of meals.

For getting around and for activities, there is an airport transfer, car hire, a shuttle service and a taxi service, and tours can be arranged. Diving and a golf course on site are also available. Canoeing, fishing and motorised and non-motorised water sports are offered too, along with bicycle rental, a concierge and a laundry service. The resort is family and child friendly, with a babysitting service, and it has a garden.

Koh Samui is an island in the Gulf of Thailand, part of Surat Thani province, and it is reached by air at Samui Airport or by boat. Samui Island Resort sits on the island's coast, where the beaches and the water are the main draw for visitors who come to swim and relax. Samui Airport is 1.6 km away, and the island's ferries serve the other islands nearby. Chaweng Noi Beach and Lamai Beach are further afield, on other stretches of the island's coast.

The beach close to the resort is Nora Beach, and Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hilltop by the sea, is 3.8 km away. Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue set beside a lake, is a short trip along the island's roads. Fisherman's Village is a waterside village of shops and restaurants, and the Vishnu on Sheshnag statue stands close to the resort.

A good day can start with a visit to Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem, followed by a meal at the waterside village in the afternoon. In the evening, the Night Market has food stalls and local goods, and the hotel's private beach is a quiet place to finish the day.
