A good day could start at Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha, then continue at Fisherman's Village in Bophut, 4.5 km away, where the walking street has shops and food stalls. Choeng Mon Beach is nearby for a swim, and the Bangrak beach fish market is 1.3 km away. Central Festival Samui, the large shopping centre in the area, is a good option for an afternoon of shopping. For a change from the beaches, the Samui Crocodile Farm is one of the attractions in the wider area, and it can be combined with a day spent around Bophut and Choengmon.
