SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort

The rooms at SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort are pool villas, suites and two-bedroom villas. Some rooms face the pool, others look over the garden, the beach or partly onto the sea, and a two-bedroom suite offers 180 m² for up to six guests. Rooms with a pool view include the Oceanfront SALA Pool Villa, the Garden Pool Villa and the Garden Two Bedroom Family & Friends Suite.

The rooms have private bathrooms, and they can include bathrobes, hair dryers, electric kettles and mini bars, with whirlpool bathtubs or open-air bath privileges in some. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the Garden wing rooms sit across the road from the main entrance.

Chaweng is one of the busiest stretches of sand on the east coast of Koh Samui, a long beach lined with restaurants, bars and shops that stay lively after dark. SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort sits in the Chaweng area, with Central Festival Samui and the Night Market close by. Koh Samui is an island, so you arrive by air or by boat, and the resort is a short way from the airport.

Samui Airport is 1.4 km from the resort, and getting around the island is usually by songthaew, taxi or scooter. Chaweng Noi Beach, 3.3 km away, is a smaller and quieter bay, while Wat Plai Laem, 3.7 km away, is a temple complex with a large Guanyin statue. The Big Buddha, 3.9 km away, is a large seated statue on a hill, and the island's temples and waterfalls fill a full day of sightseeing.

A day could start at Wat Plai Laem, continue to the Big Buddha and finish at Fisherman's Village in Bophut, which has restaurants and shops along its lanes. For a longer excursion, Na Muang Waterfall lies inland, a different landscape from the beaches. Back at the resort, the pool and spa offer a quieter end to the day.
