Wat Phleng Wipatsana, a pagoda, is 300 m from the villa, and Nakhon Luang Market, a local market for fresh food and everyday goods, is 850 m away. Bang Khun Non MRT Station is 800 m away, and Taling Chan Pier, a Chao Phraya ferry landing, lies further off. The Grand Palace is 2.9 km away, and Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall prang on the Thonburi bank, is 3.1 km away, so a boat on the Chao Phraya links the two sides of the river.

A day could start at Nakhon Luang Market, then continue to Wat Arun on the Thonburi bank before crossing by boat to the Grand Palace. The National Museum of Royal Barges, which shows the ceremonial royal barges, is also in Thonburi and makes a good stop on the same day. A route through Wat Arun, the Grand Palace and the market is a good way to see both banks of the river.
