The Black Kingdom

Bang O MRT station is 400 m away, making it the closest public transport stop to the villa, and several river ferry piers are within a short walk of the neighbourhood. The Grand Palace is 5.4 km away, with Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, reached by a short trip on the river, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 4.4 km away.

A good day could start with a ferry from a nearby pier to the old city, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha sits inside the Grand Palace complex. Wat Arun is a further stop on the river, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is worth the trip if your visit falls on a weekend. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 28.6 km away, so plan the journey back with time to spare.
