Lamai is one of the main beach areas of Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand, with a long beach and a lively street life along the beach road. In the evening, restaurants and bars line the beach road, and the sea is close at hand without being far from the island's main roads.
Lamai Beach is 50 m away, and the rocks of Hin Ta & Hin Yai, known locally as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, are 300 m from the resort. Thai Scuba Dive and the Lamai Scuba Diving Center are close by for diving trips, and the Lamai Viewpoint is also nearby. The rocks are an easy stroll along the sand. Na Muang Waterfall is 5.8 km away, and Big Buddha is 13.1 km away. Samui Airport is 10.7 km away.
A good day could start with a walk along Lamai Beach to the rocks, then continue to the Lamai Viewpoint and the Lamai Night Market in the evening.
