A day could begin with a walk along Patong Beach, continue with some shopping at Jungceylon and end at the night market, where food stalls and shops stay busy in the evening. Further afield, the Big Buddha on its hilltop and the temple at Wat Chalong make a good half-day outing. Patong Boxing Stadium is also close by for anyone who wants an evening of Thai boxing.
