Resting Place Hostel

The rooms at Resting Place Hostel include dormitory rooms for men, for women and for mixed-gender guests, along with a private room with a queen bed and a street view. There are also rooms for three and four guests, and several rooms have a shared bathroom and air conditioning.

Beds range from single beds and bunk beds to a queen bed, depending on the room, and the group rooms have four single beds for up to four guests. Guests who prefer their own space can book the private room, while those who want to share can choose a dormitory.

Resting Place Hostel has a 24-hour front desk, an elevator, a shared lounge and TV area, and a game room. There is an airport transfer and a shuttle service, and tours, car hire, bicycle rental and a taxi service can be arranged.

Resting Place Hostel is in Sukhothai, a town in central Thailand whose old capital is now Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of temple ruins and monuments. The hostel is 700 m from the park, so the ruins can be reached on foot or by bicycle.

The Ramkhamhaeng National Museum is 300 m away and holds objects from the Sukhothai kingdom. Traphang Thong Market, a small local market, is 50 m away. Wat Maha That, the central temple of the park, is also close by, and Wat Sa Si, Wat Sri Sawai and Wat Sri Chum are other temple ruins within two kilometres. Wat Saphan Hin, 3.8 km away, has a large standing Buddha on a hillside, and Sukhothai Airport, 26.5 km away, is the nearest airport.

A good day can start in the historical park, continue to the hillside Buddha at Wat Saphan Hin, and end in the old town, where the Saturday Night Market Old Sukhothai is a short way from the hostel. Visitors who want a longer day can add the national museum to the same route, since it is close to the park. The hostel also offers bicycle rental, a simple way to move between the temple sites.
