Relax Bay Beach Resort

All rooms at Relax Bay Beach Resort have air conditioning and a private entrance. The choice runs from bungalows to family rooms, with sea views and garden views in several of them, and the rooms sleep between two and five guests. The bathrooms are private, with walk-in showers, and the rooms come with a hair dryer, an electric kettle, toiletries and towels.

Most rooms have a queen bed, the family rooms have two of them, and one bungalow pairs a single bed with a queen bed. The Family Bungalow measures 75 m² and sleeps up to five guests, so a larger group can stay in one room.

The resort offers an outdoor swimming pool, a private beach, a garden and a terrace, along with a massage. Restaurants, a coffee shop, a snack bar and a bar cover food and drink, and there is a happy hour.

For getting around, tours, bicycles and car hire can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer. Free parking is available, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, with Wi-Fi in the public areas too.

Laundry service and a playground are available as well. The garden and the terrace give guests outdoor space around the rooms, and the swimming pool is the main shared space for relaxing in the sun at the resort.

Relax Bay Beach Resort is in the Pra Ae area of Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province that is reached by ferry from the mainland. Pra Ae is a small village area, and the beach and the village sit close together. Long Beach, Koh Lanta, is 400 m from the resort, so the sand and the sea are close by. The surroundings are mostly village and beach rather than a town.

For the longer trips across the island, a motorbike or taxi is the practical choice. Khlong Khong Beach is 1.1 km away, Klong Dao Beach is 3.5 km away, and a visit to Lanta Old Town gives a glimpse of the island's past, which is 9.7 km away. The island's roads link the beaches and the old town, so a day out can take in several of them.

A good day could begin on Long Beach and continue to Kantiang Bay, a broad bay further along the island, before a visit to Khao Mai Kaew Cave, which is 7.9 km away. Mu Ko Lanta National Park is a larger outing further away for a full day. Trips to all of them can be fitted into a few days at the resort, one after another, without changing base.
