Ao Nang is a bay on the coast of Krabi province in southern Thailand, known for its beaches and the limestone cliffs that rise above the sand. The resort is on Soi Nathai 2, and most travellers come to the bay for its beaches, its boat trips to the islands and its stays set in greenery against the hills.

Ao Nang Beach is 4.8 km away, and Railay Beach, a bay with high limestone walls that is reached only by longtail boat, is 6.2 km away. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is 10.9 km away, a hilltop temple reached by a climb to the top. Krabi International Airport is 15.6 km away, and a Family Mart convenience store is within walking distance of the resort.

A good day starts with a boat trip from Ao Nang to Poda Island or Tup Island, both small islands with beaches reached by longtail boat. In the evening, the Krabi Weekend Night Market offers street food and local crafts. The Hong Islands are a longer boat trip further out, so most trips from Ao Nang are day trips out of the bay. Boat trips can be disrupted when the sea is rough in the rainy season.
