Long Beach, about 1 km away, is a long stretch of sand that suits a walk along the water. Kantiang Bay is also on the island, and the small village of Lo Ba Ra lies a short distance from the hotel. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 19.2 km away, protects part of the island's coastline and forest.

A day on Koh Lanta can start on Klong Dao Beach, then continue to Long Beach for a walk along the sand. Both the stadium and the beach are within a short walk, so a relaxed morning can be spent between them. For a fuller day out, the national park is a longer journey across the island, and Kantiang Bay can be added to the route.
