Rak Suan Homestay

All the rooms at Rak Suan Homestay have a garden view and a private entrance. Guests can book the Two-Bedroom House, which sleeps up to two guests in a double bed, or the Vacation Home, which sleeps up to three guests with a choice of bed set-ups.

Every room has a private bathroom, and the Vacation Home also has a balcony or terrace. The homestay offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms and free parking for guests who drive.

Guests can use an airport transfer service, and there is free parking for those who drive. The homestay has a garden with lawns, shaded areas and seating, and a terrace. Pets are allowed. The garden offers spacious lawns and comfortable seating for relaxing outdoors.

Rak Suan Homestay is on the coast of Khao Lak, in the Pakarang area of Phangnga province on Thailand's Andaman coast. The area mixes small beaches, villages and forested hills, and the homestay is close enough to the sea that the coast is easy to reach on a day out. Khao Lak is a place where beaches, hills and national parks sit close together, so a single day can cover several kinds of landscape.

Khuk Khak Beach is 1.6 km away, and White Sand Beach is also close. Inland, the Ton Chong Fa Waterfall and the Khao Lak Elephant Home are among the places to visit, and the Tsunami Museum, 5.6 km away, tells the story of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that hit this coast hard. Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 67.8 km away and Krabi International Airport (KBV) is 105.9 km away, so most arrivals fly into one of them and continue by road.

A good day out is a boat trip from the coast to the Similan islands, part of Similan National Park, 16.1 km from the homestay. Boat trips depend on the sea, and in the rainy months rough seas can disrupt them. Closer to home, Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park is good for walks among the forest and waterfalls.
