Railay is a limestone peninsula on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, with steep cliffs rising above small bays and beaches on either side. It is reached by longtail boat from Ao Nang, so the area feels more secluded than the mainland town. Railay Jungle Escape sits in that landscape, and the setting suits guests who want to be among rock walls and jungle rather than traffic. Its beaches are backed by the cliffs, so the coast alternates between sand and rock all the way along the peninsula.

The beaches are close to the hotel: Little Rai Ley East Beach is 550 m away and Ao Rai Le is 800 m, while Phra Nang Cave, a limestone cave beside the beach of the same name, is 1.2 km away. Railay East pier, at 650 m, is the pier for longtail boats, and Ao Nang Beach, on the mainland, is 2.2 km away.

Rock climbing is one of the main draws of Railay, and climbing schools operate on the peninsula for those who want to try the cliffs. Boat trips to nearby islands such as Poda Island leave from the piers, and Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is a further trip inland.
