Purr's rooms range from a bunk in a mixed dormitory to a double room with a shower, a king bed room with a private bathroom, two rooms with two queen beds each, and a room allocated on arrival.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and the rooms with a private bathroom have a shower.

Purr offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, with internet access also in the public areas. Air conditioning is provided in the common areas, and the property is smoke-free.

Guests can use the shared lounge and TV area, the game room and the shared kitchen, and food delivery is available. A laundry service is offered, and safety deposit boxes are provided.

Purr sits on Thalang Road in Phuket Town, the island's provincial capital, where older Sino-Portuguese shophouses and small museums line the streets. Phuket Old Town is 400 m away, and the local bus station is 350 m from the hostel, so much of the area is easy to explore on foot. Several small museums, including the Phuket Philatelic Museum, sit within a few hundred metres of the hostel.

Queen Sirikit Park is 150 m from the hostel and gives you a green break in town. Wat Chalong, Chaithararam Temple, is one of the island's best-known Buddhist temples, and the Lard Yai Sunday Night Market is a lively place to eat in the evening. Walking through the old town after dark is an easy way to see the shophouses and street life the area is known for.

For the beaches, Patong is 10.8 km away, and Karon and Kata beaches are a little further away. A full day could combine Big Buddha Phuket, the large white seated statue on a hilltop, with Wat Chalong in the morning. In the evening, the Sunday market or the Phuket FantaSea show, a large theatre and dinner complex, are both options. Phuket International Airport is 26.9 km away, so most arrivals on the island start with a road transfer from there.
