The best-known sights are further off. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, one of the notable temples of the Ayutthaya period, is 17.5 km away, and the Historic City of Ayutthaya, the UNESCO World Heritage site that includes the ruins of the former capital, lies within the same wider area. The historic sites are far enough that a car or taxi makes the trip easier. Don Mueang International Airport is 33.2 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 62.2 km away, and the homestay offers an airport transfer.
