Princess Seaview Resort & Spa

Rooms at Princess Seaview Resort & Spa run from deluxe rooms to family suites, and some of them have a mountain or sea view. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, ironing facilities, a window, a shower and towels.

Deluxe rooms measure 40 m² and family suites 100 m², and many of the rooms have a private bathroom with a bathtub, bathrobes and a hair dryer. Beds are offered in a choice of set-ups, and room capacities run from two to five guests, so the rooms cover both couples and larger groups, and the family suites measure 100 m² and sleep up to three guests.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, and the spa offers massage, body scrub, body wrap, a hot tub, a steam room and a sauna. A fitness centre is on site, and so is a golf course.

Dining covers a restaurant, a coffee shop, a poolside bar, a snack bar, BBQ facilities and buffet breakfast, with room service also available. Tours can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer, car hire and currency exchange.

Parking is free and on site. The front desk is open 24 hours, and there is a family room and a babysitting service for guests travelling with children.

Karon is one of Phuket's long sandy beaches, lying between Kata Beach and Patong Beach, with a lively stretch of shops and cafés close to the sand. The resort sits in the Karon area and is a short walk from the beach, so the sea is easy to reach on foot. In the evenings the beach road fills with street-food stalls and small shops, and the Karon Night Market is 800 m from the resort.

The Big Buddha stands on the hills at 1.9 km, a large white statue with views over the island. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 4 km away, is one of Phuket's most revered Buddhist temples, and Kata Beach is a neighbouring beach with its own shore. Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 30.2 km away, and the island is linked to the mainland by a bridge, so a car or taxi is the usual way to reach the resort from the airport.

A full day could begin with a swim at Karon Beach, continue to the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong in the afternoon, and end with an evening at Phuket FantaSea, the cultural theme park with its show. The resort's own pools and spa suit a quieter day, with the beach a short walk away.
