Its streets hold everyday shops, temples and a museum, giving the town a provincial character.

Big C, a large supermarket where guests can buy food, drinks and everyday supplies, is 300 m from the guesthouse, and Pakistan Mosque is 100 m away. Phung Chang Cave lies 2.7 km away, and the Phang Nga Museum is 2.4 km away. The Phang Nga Bus Terminal, 3.4 km away, is the stop for those travelling by bus.

A day could start with the Phang Nga Museum, then continue with a walk to Wat Tham Ta Pan and Tham San Rock Art, both a short distance from the guesthouse. The temple and the rock art site make a quiet morning, and the afternoon can be spent back in the town with its everyday shops and quieter streets. Trips out to the islands of Phang Nga Bay go by boat, so they are best planned as a separate day.
