Horizon Eco Resort

Every room at Horizon Eco Resort has a garden view and a balcony or terrace. The rooms range from a Bungalow for two guests with a double bed to a Family Bungalow for up to four, with a Double Room with Balcony for up to three guests in between.

The Family Bungalow measures 14 m² and combines a double bed with a bunk bed. Each room has its own private bathroom, with toiletries, towels and linens provided, and a fan. Mosquito nets and a private entrance are fitted to the Family Bungalow and the Double Room with Balcony, and the balconies overlook the garden.

Dining at the resort covers a restaurant, a coffee shop, a snack bar and a bar, with room service, food delivery and BBQ facilities. Breakfast in room and a breakfast takeaway service are offered, and a happy hour runs at the bar.

Massage treatments, canoeing, diving, fishing, hiking and snorkelling are offered, and tours and an airport transfer can be arranged. Luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, laundry service, a 24-hour front desk and a doctor or nurse on call are available.

Children are welcome, and the resort offers family rooms and a kids meal. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and English, French, German, Italian and Thai are spoken.

Koh Phra Thong is an island in Phang Nga province, on Thailand's Andaman coast, and much of it is covered by forest and mangrove. Horizon Eco Resort sits among the island's greenery, and the garden is surrounded by lush vegetation. The resort suits a green, quiet stay with a few days out on the water. Ban Singto, a village 4.6 km away, gives a glimpse of everyday island life.

The beaches are close: Golden Buddha Beach is 600 m away and Ko Pling Beach 800 m, while Hornbill Hill, a viewpoint over the surrounding landscape, is also near the resort. Mu Ko Ra - Ko Phra Thong National Park, 8.8 km away, covers islands, forest and mangroves, so it is the natural area nearby for a longer day out. The resort makes a useful base for both the beaches and the national park.

A good first day is a walk up Hornbill Hill for the view, then a stroll along Golden Buddha Beach. Canoeing, diving, snorkelling, fishing and hiking are offered at the resort, and tours can be arranged. Because the island is reached by boat, the last part of the journey is by boat, and Kuraburi Pier is 17 km away on the mainland.
