Poonsiri Resort Aonang

The rooms at Poonsiri Resort Aonang measure from 36 m² to 185 m². The two superior rooms measure 36 m², the Family Room and the Deluxe Villa measure 72 m², and the Luxury Villa measures 185 m² and sleeps up to seven guests. Several of the rooms have a lagoon view, and the superior rooms sleep up to three guests each.

It is a good choice for travellers who want a lively base with easy access to boat trips, rather than a quiet village away from the coast.

The Krabi Elephant Shelter is a short walk from the resort, and Noppharat Thara Beach is nearby as well. Nang An Pier, a ferry terminal 1.1 km away, is the pier to know for boat trips, and the Ao Nang Night Market comes alive in the evenings. Railay Beach, 6.7 km away, is reached by long-tail boat, with limestone cliffs rising straight from the sand. Krabi International Airport is 21.1 km away, so most arrivals come in by air and continue by road.

A good day trip could start with a boat from Nang An Pier to Railay, then a walk to Phra Nang Cave, which sits close to the beaches there. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 16.1 km away, is a hilltop temple complex reached by a long climb, and makes a good half-day outing inland. Plan the boat trips around the sea conditions on the day, since rough seas can change the schedule of the longer island runs.
