Poonsap Resort

The rooms at Poonsap Resort vary in size and layout. The Standard Double and the family room have a garden view, and the family room offers a choice of bed set-ups for up to four guests. Other rooms are studio-style, with a full kitchen or a separate shower and bathtub.

One studio apartment measures 100 m² and sleeps up to five guests, and several rooms measure 32 m². Other rooms sleep up to three or four guests, and a standard room sleeps up to five. Air conditioning is part of the Standard Double, the studio room and the studio apartment, and the two studios are soundproofed.

Poonsap Resort has restaurants and room service, with breakfast service, Asian and halal breakfast options and a shared kitchen. Massage is also available on site, and the grounds include a garden.

For getting around, there is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, car hire, bicycle rental and a taxi service, and tours can be arranged. A golf course is on site.

Practical services include daily housekeeping, laundry service, dry cleaning, safety deposit boxes and 24-hour security. Pets are allowed. Internet access is available in public areas, and coffee and tea are served in the restaurant, with bottled water also available. The shared kitchen is a further option for guests who prefer to cook.

Poonsap Resort is in Saladan, in the Pra Ae Beach area of Koh Lanta, an island in Krabi province reached by ferry from the mainland. Long Beach, 850 m away, is the nearest beach to the resort, and Saladan is where the island's ferry pier is. The resort sits in the Pra Ae area of the island rather than in its old town, and its grounds include a garden.

Kantiang Bay is 3.1 km away and Lanta Old Town is 11.3 km away, with Klong Dao Beach and Khlong Khong Beach also close by on the island. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, a national park covering parts of the island, is 17.6 km away. Krabi International Airport is 53.9 km away on the mainland, so the trip from the airport includes the ferry.

A day could combine the Khao Mai Kaew Cave and Khlong Chak Waterfall with time on the beaches, or a visit to the old town and the Monday Market, which is held in the village on Mondays. Sala Dan Pier, a ferry terminal, is also in the village, and Khlong Chak Waterfall is also on the island, so the waterfall and the cave can be seen in the same trip.
