Pimalai Resort & Spa

Pimalai Resort & Spa offers villas with one, two or three bedrooms, on the hillside and beside the beach. Hillside villas have ocean views, while beachside villas have sea, pool or beach views, and some have a private pool while others share one. Bed layouts range from a single king bed to combinations of king and single beds.

Some villas have air conditioning, a coffee and tea maker or a microwave, and the rooms can have a shower, ironing facilities and a window. Bathrobes and towels are provided in some villas, and blackout curtains and a fan appear in others.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, and a private beach. The spa offers a sauna, a steamroom and massage treatments, and there is also a salon, a fitness centre, a yoga room and a library.

Activities include snorkelling, diving, boating, canoeing, tennis, badminton and table tennis, and tours can be arranged. Bicycle rental and car hire are available, and motorised and non-motorised water sports are available too.

For families there is a kids club, a babysitting service, a kids meal and a family room. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, with currency exchange, luggage storage, laundry and ironing services, and an airport transfer.

Pimalai Resort & Spa sits on Ba Kantiang Bay, on Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province in the Andaman Sea. The island is known for its long beaches, its limestone scenery and its national park, and the resort has a private beach on the bay itself. Koh Lanta has several beaches, and the resort's stretch of sand is one of them, with the island's wider coastline and forest close by.

Ba Kan Tiang Beach is 150 m away, the nearest beach to the resort, and the Statue of Koh Lanta is 350 m away. Khlong Chak Waterfall lies 3.9 km away in the island's forest, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park is 4 km away, covering forest, beaches and islands around Koh Lanta. Khao Mai Kaew Cave is a limestone cave nearby, and Lanta Old Town is the island's traditional settlement, with local shops.

Koh Lanta is reached by boat from the mainland, and the resort's own jetty is the departure point for its boat transfers, which can be cancelled in bad weather or rough seas. Krabi International Airport is on the mainland, and a complimentary round-trip transfer to and from it is offered on check-in and check-out dates. A full day can combine the national park with a swim at Ba Kan Tiang Beach and an afternoon at Lanta Old Town, and diving and snorkelling are available from the resort.
