Pilanta Spa Resort

Pilanta Spa Resort offers a range of rooms, from Deluxe rooms of 49 m² with a garden view and a whirlpool bathtub to a Spa Villa of 60 m² and a Spa Suite. Each of these rooms sleeps up to three guests, and the specific room is allocated when you arrive.

Across the resort, rooms can have air conditioning, an in-room safe, a minibar, a refrigerator, a coffee or tea maker and a balcony or terrace, and some rooms come with bathrobes, a hair dryer and a flat-screen TV.

Pilanta Spa Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a spa with a sauna, a steamroom and massage treatments. A hot tub and a fitness centre are also on site, and the resort has its own private beach and a garden.

Dining options are a restaurant, a coffee shop and a poolside bar, with a buffet breakfast and room service. Guests can also book tours, use the airport transfer, hire bicycles and send laundry out, and the resort also offers diving and snorkelling.

Pilanta Spa Resort sits in the Kaw Kwang area of Koh Lanta, a long island off the coast of Krabi province in southern Thailand. The surroundings mix sandy bays with small villages and quiet stretches of beach, and the pace is that of a beach island rather than a city. The quieter stretches of coast nearby are good for swimming and resting.

Kaw Kwang Beach is close by, and Klong Dao Beach, at 500 m, is a walk along the coast. Kantiang Bay, a sheltered bay with white sand, lies a little further on, and Long Beach is further still along the island's coastline. Khao Mai Kaew Cave, a limestone cave on the island, is 13.1 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, a marine park around the island and its islets, is 20.8 km away. Koh Lanta has no bridge to the mainland: Krabi International Airport is 50.8 km away on the mainland, and the last stretch of the journey is by boat from Sala Dan Pier.

A good day can start with a swim at Kaw Kwang or Klong Dao Beach, then continue to the cave in the afternoon, or to the national park for a boat trip among the islets. Some of the islets nearby, such as Ko Raeng, can only be reached at low tide, so the tide decides when you can walk out.
