Pigoon Resort

The rooms at Pigoon Resort range from a family room with its own private bathroom, sleeping up to seven guests, to queen and double rooms. A triple room measures 40 m² and has a single bed and a queen bed, with air conditioning.

Some rooms have a garden view, and one double room is set up as a camping tent with a separate bathroom outside the room. The swimming pool, the garden and the spa are shared facilities of the property.

The grounds have a swimming pool, a garden, a spa and a sauna, along with a water park, a game room and karaoke. There is also a foot bath, and a convenience store and luggage storage are available. The facilities are spread across the grounds, so guests can move from the pool to the spa without leaving the property.

Reception is open 24 hours, and there is room service, a coffee shop and restaurants, plus a shared kitchen for guests. Meeting and banquet facilities are available for groups, alternative meal arrangements can also be made, and tours can be arranged.

Pigoon Resort is in a rural part of Nakhon Pathom province, in central Thailand, where the landscape is green and the pace is quiet. Small villages and hamlets are scattered across the surroundings, and the closest, Ban Sa Kathiam, is 900 m away. The setting feels a long way from Bangkok's busy streets, even though the capital is reachable by road from the homestay.

Wat Sa Kathiam, a pagoda 1.2 km away, is one of several temples in the area, and the Uniland Golf & Country Club is about 5 km away. The city of Nakhon Pathom is home to Phra Pathom Chedi, one of Thailand's best-known Buddhist monuments and a landmark that draws visitors from across the country. Don Mueang International Airport is 70.1 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 84.4 km, so the journey from either airport is a long one.

A day could begin with a visit to one of the nearby temples and a walk through the village lanes, then continue to Phra Pathom Chedi in the city. Back at the homestay, the swimming pool, the sauna and the spa make for a quiet afternoon after a morning of sightseeing, with the water park and game room also on the grounds.
