Phupreugsa Resort

Air conditioning and a balcony or terrace are standard across the resort's rooms, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. Each room has a desk, a refrigerator, a TV, a hair dryer, toiletries and a shower, and a bottle of water is provided free.

The rooms measure 30 m² and sleep up to two guests. One has a double bed and the other has two single beds, and the room with the double bed has a garden view.

The resort has a 24-hour front desk, and an airport transfer and a shuttle service are offered. There is on-site parking, and massage, tours, bicycle rental, laundry service and dry cleaning are available at the resort too. Guests who want to explore the ruins can rent a bicycle at the resort.

The surroundings of Phupreugsa Resort are green and residential, with small village communities such as Ban Wang Takhro and Ban Wang Won close to the resort. It suits visitors who want the historic city by day and a quiet place to return to at night.

The main draw is the Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of temples and ruins from the Sukhothai kingdom. Wat Mahathat, where a stone Buddha head sits among tree roots, and Wat Sri Chum, known for its huge seated Buddha, are among the ruins. Wat Saphan Hin, 2.8 km from the resort, is known for a large standing Buddha on a hilltop.

A good plan is to start at the Historical Park, where the ruins are spread over a wide area, and then visit the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum for background on the kingdom. Sukhothai Old Town is 1.6 km away, and bicycle rental is offered at the resort for moving between the ruins. Sukhothai Airport is 27 km away, and the Night Market is 5.3 km from the resort, so the evening can be spent in the town. Tours are offered at the resort as well, a convenient option for a first visit to the park.
