Phuket Old Town Hostel

The rooms at Phuket Old Town Hostel range from fan rooms and twin rooms to double rooms and family rooms for up to four guests. It is a town quarter rather than a beach area, and it appeals to travellers who want to spend their days walking the streets and visiting museums.

The Phuket Thai Hua Museum is 50 m from the hostel, and Baan Chinpracha, a Sino-Portuguese mansion that is now a museum, is 300 m away. The Lard Yai Sunday Night Market is 350 m off and comes alive in the evening on Sundays. Wat Chalong, the Chaithararam Temple, is 7 km away, and Patong Beach is 10.1 km away, so the beaches are a longer trip rather than a walk.

A good day here starts with the museums and the old shophouse streets on foot, then the Sunday night market in the evening if your visit falls on a Sunday. Wat Chalong is a larger outing for part of a day, and Patong brings the beach and nightlife that the island is best known for.
