Big Buddha Phuket is 1.8 km away, a large seated Buddha statue on a hill above Chalong. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is 5.1 km away, one of the best-known Buddhist temples on the island. Patong Beach, 7.8 km away, is the main nightlife area of the island, and Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 32.8 km away. A minibus station and a bus stop for Kata to Phuket are nearby, so local buses and minibuses can be used for trips along the island.

A day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, continue with a visit to Big Buddha Phuket, and finish at the Karon Night Market, along the coast to the north. Kata Noi Beach, to the south, is another choice for a beach afternoon, on the same coast as the resort.
