PawPaw Resort

The rooms at PawPaw Resort are bungalows and rooms measuring from 20 m² to 84 m², and each one has air conditioning, a private entrance and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and toiletries. Each room also comes with an electric kettle, towels, linens and cleaning products.

Some rooms have sea views, others look onto the garden or the courtyard. Bed set-ups include a double bed, a queen bed, a single bed with a queen bed, and two queen beds in the 84 m² family bungalow, which also has an additional bathroom and sleeps up to four guests. Between them, the rooms sleep two to four guests.

The grounds at PawPaw Resort include an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, along with a bar, restaurants and BBQ facilities. Alternative meal arrangements are offered too, and there is a golf course on site. The garden and the terrace are two of the main outdoor spaces, next to the pool.

Free parking is available, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms and the public areas. An airport transfer and a shuttle service are offered, and tours can be arranged. Daily housekeeping is provided, and there are lockers, safety deposit boxes, a concierge and a doctor or nurse on call. Express and private check-in and check-out are available, and English, Czech, Polish, Slovenian and Thai are spoken.

PawPaw Resort sits in the Hua Thanon area of Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand. The setting is residential and calm, with village houses, shrines and temples close at hand, and hills rise inland. Village life here is quiet, with small shops and houses along the lanes.

Laem Sor Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda, is 550 m from the resort, a short walk, and Buddha’s Footprint Temple, with a shrine to the Buddha’s footprint, is 1.3 km away. Na Muang Waterfall, in the hills of the island’s interior, is 5.8 km away, and Lamai Beach, a long stretch of sand with bars along it, is 4.3 km away. Samui Airport (USM) is 14.8 km away, on the island itself.

A good day could begin at Laem Sor Pagoda and the Samui Butterfly Garden, then continue to the Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks, known as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, and end on Lamai Beach. The Samui Butterfly Garden is close by for a morning with butterflies, and Buddha’s Footprint Temple can be visited on the same outing as Laem Sor Pagoda. Na Muang Waterfall offers a different setting, with hills and water rather than the sea, and it makes a good half-day outing.
