The area is busy and lively, with a mix of bars, restaurants and shops, and the nightlife clusters around Bangla Road, which is 1.8 km from the property.

Jungceylon Shopping Center is also close by, and Freedom Beach lies 1.7 km away. Big Buddha Phuket, a large seated statue on a hilltop, is 6.2 km from the property, and Karon Beach, the next beach south along the coast, is also worth a visit.

A full day could take in Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, the best-known temple on the island, before returning to Patong for dinner along Bangla Road. Phuket is an island, and the airport and the town are linked by road, so the drive from the airport is the usual way to reach the beach. In the evening the streets fill up, with street-food stalls and massage shops along the beach road, and the bars on Bangla Road stay busy late into the night. Morning is a good time to visit the temples, before the heat of the day builds up.
