A relaxed day could start with a walk to the City Pillar Shrine, followed by the hot springs and the arboretum in the afternoon, and a visit to the food market in the evening. The hill of Khao Pak Nam lies outside the town centre and makes a good outing for a second day, while Ranong Airport lies farther out of town, so most visitors reach the town by road. Because the town is compact, the walk from the guesthouse to the shrine takes only a few minutes.
