Palm Village

Every room at Palm Village overlooks the garden. The rooms measure between 50 and 75 m², capacities run from three to five guests, and each room has a shower, with several also offering a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Some rooms have air conditioning, a balcony or terrace, blackout curtains or a mosquito net, while others have a telephone or a flat-screen TV. Children aged 3 to 7 can stay for free using the existing bedding, and a baby cot or crib is available on request.

Dining is covered by a restaurant, a coffee shop and room service, and a shared kitchen is available for guests. Grocery delivery and food delivery are also available, so guests can eat in or order in from the hotel.

For getting around and day trips there is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, car hire, a taxi service and bicycles, and tours can be arranged. The hotel also offers snorkelling and diving, and the garden is open to guests for reading or a quiet walk.

Rawai is a fishing village on the coast of Phuket, and its working fish market and the Sea Gypsies' community give the area a local character that is quite different from the island's busier beaches. Palm Village sits close to the water, with the beach 780 m away, and the neighbourhood feels calmer than the main resort strips of Patong and Kata. Fishing boats and the morning market give the waterfront a daily rhythm of its own, which is a different pace from the busier beaches.

Around the hotel are the Sea Gypsies fish market, the Seashell Museum and Ra Wai Beach, while Rawai Pier, a ferry terminal, is 1.2 km from the hotel. Further afield, the Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hilltop, is 5.3 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is one of Phuket's most revered Buddhist temples.

A good day could begin at the fish market, take in Rawai Pier and Wat Chalong, and end at the Big Buddha on its hilltop, a few kilometres from the fish market. For evenings out, Patong is the island's main nightlife area and lies further away from the hotel, while Phuket International Airport is 36.6 km from the hotel for arrivals and departures.
