Palm Leaf Resort

The rooms at Palm Leaf Resort measure between 24 and 25 m² and all have air conditioning. Most have a balcony or terrace, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and a flat-screen TV, and the beds are double beds, single beds or a combination, depending on the room. Most rooms sleep two guests, and the bungalow sleeps up to three.

Some rooms have a garden view and others a nature view. Several rooms also have a desk and a seating area, and blackout curtains, a refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker and an in-room safe box are found in some of them, so the set-up varies from room to room.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and parking on site is free. On site you will find restaurants, a bar, room service and a shared kitchen, and a continental breakfast is served.

The hotel also offers activities on the island: diving, snorkelling, canoeing and fishing are available, and tours and a shuttle service can be arranged. A private beach, a garden and a 24-hour front desk complete the grounds, and luggage storage and safety deposit boxes are available for guests.

Palm Leaf Resort is on Sairee Beach, on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand best known for diving. Ko Tao is one of the smaller islands in the Gulf, and its beaches, coves and dive sites sit close together. The beach area is lined with dive centres, cafés and simple restaurants along the sand, and the island has no airport of its own, so the way in is by boat.

Coral Grand Divers is 150 m away and Island Muay Thai is 800 m away, both within a short walk of the hotel. Mae Haad Pier, the island's main ferry port, is where the hotel's transfer begins. A little further, the Top Point viewpoint is 1.3 km away, and Koh Nang Yuan, a small island with a well-known snorkelling spot, is 2.4 km away by boat. Ao Hin Wong beach, 2.1 km away, is another stretch of sand further along the coast.

A good first day starts with a snorkelling trip to Koh Nang Yuan, then a few hours on the private beach and a visit to the Top Point viewpoint. Those who want to learn to dive can book a course at one of the dive centres near the hotel, and in the evening the cafés and restaurants along the sand are close at hand.
