Painting Family Hostel

The rooms at Painting Family Hostel run from shared dormitory beds to a 64 m² room that sleeps up to 16 guests in eight bunk beds. Some rooms overlook the mountains, and the property's rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, a private entrance and toiletries.

Guests can choose a Deluxe Room with a double bed and a private bathroom, a dormitory bed in one of the shared rooms, or a room for a small group or a family travelling together. The Mixed Dormitory Room and the Deluxe Room both have mountain views, and the 64 m² room has its own private entrance.

Painting Family Hostel offers free parking and free WiFi in all rooms, along with restaurants, a bar, a coffee shop and an alternative meal arrangement. Happy hour is also available.

Khao Sok (Suratthani) sits in the hills of Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, where limestone karst and rainforest cover much of the land. Most of the land around the park is hilly and rural, with mountains rising from the valley floor. Khao Sok National Park itself covers a large area of rainforest, so guests can spend a whole day exploring it. Painting Family Hostel is 250 m from Khao Sok National Park, so the forest is the main reason most travellers come to the area.

Inside the park, the rainforest trails, the limestone cliffs and Cheow Lan lake are the main draws. The Khao Sok Valley Viewpoint is 2.1 km away, and Wing Hin waterfall is at a similar distance, so a day can take in both the views and a waterfall.

Surat Thani Airport is 72 km away, so many guests arrive by road and use the free car park. A day in the national park, with a walk through the forest and a stop at the viewpoint, is a good way to start a trip here, and the park's entrance area is a short distance from the property. Boat trips on Cheow Lan Lake are another popular way to see the karst cliffs from the water.
