OK Chic Phuket Hostel

The rooms at OK Chic Phuket Hostel include private rooms with a shared bathroom and dormitory rooms, both mixed and female-only. Some rooms have a city view, and air conditioning is fitted in several rooms.

The hostel is on Phangnga Road in the old quarter of Phuket Town, where Sino-Portuguese shophouses and Peranakan houses line the streets. The old quarter's architecture reflects the island's tin-mining past. The area is easy to walk and has small museums, shrines and night markets, and the Baba Phuket Museum and the Trickeye Museum are both nearby, while the beaches lie some distance away.

The Phuket Philatelic Museum is 50 m away, and Sangtham Shrine is also close by, while the Baba Phuket Museum, which shows the Peranakan heritage of the town, is nearby. Wat Chalong, the Chaithararam Temple, is one of the island's most important Buddhist temples and lies 7.4 km away. The Phuket Town local bus station is 400 m from the hostel, and Phuket International Airport is 27 km away.

Patong Beach, one of the island's best-known resort beaches, is 10.7 km away, and the Big Buddha on its hilltop makes an easy stop on a day out. On Sunday evenings the Sunday Walking Street Market (Lard Yai) fills the streets a short walk from the hostel, and the Plein Poa Night Market is also close by, so it is worth planning the evening around them, and the hostel's games room and lounge make a comfortable base for the evening too.
