The Thong Lo BTS station is 1.3 km away, and the skytrain is the simplest way to reach the central districts and the big shopping centres. Siam Paragon, a large mall with an aquarium, is 5.8 km away. The Grand Palace is 10.4 km away, and Wat Arun stands across the Chao Phraya river from it. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 18.4 km away, and Sukhumvit Road has restaurants and shops near the hotel.

A good day could begin at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which opens at weekends with stalls selling clothes, crafts and street food, then continue to the Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur whose name it bears. In the evening, the Soi 38 night market offers local snacks and is an easy stop before returning to the hotel for a quiet night. Chatuchak is a long ride from the hotel, so it suits a full day out rather than a short visit, and the Jim Thompson House is a good companion for the afternoon.
